UltraFileSearch

UltraFileSearch is an app that allows you to quickly find any file or file type on your PC. The program allows you to search the hard disk using all kinds of filters and parameters to help you locate any file without having to search for it manually folder by folder for hours on end.

Choose what you want to search for and where you want to search for it

UltraFileSearch is not difficult to use, but you do need to get to grips with its interface, as it has a number of different filters and search options. In the first tab you can type the name of the file(s) you are looking for, although if you are using this program you most likely do not know the file's full name. In that case, within this tab the most important thing is to select the drives you want to search and whether you want to scan folders and subfolders.

Search for files containing text

In UltraFileSearch's second tab you can type a word or multiple words that you think are contained within the document or file you are looking for. This option allows you to narrow down your search even further. You can select whether you want to include results that contain all the given words or only some of them. What's more, you can specify the file type you are looking for (video, image, audio, system, etc.).

Search by date and size

The third tab allows you to filter by two very useful parameters: date and size. If you know when the file you are looking for was created or modified, simply specify that date and UltraFileSearch will show you all matches. Similarly, if you know the approximate file size, just specify the correct bracket. You can even specify whether the files are read-only.
